E-commerce Intern- Remote

We're looking for a passionate and analytical E-commerce Intern interested in becoming an expert on our experience, our product, our fabrics, and our customer experience. Daily tasks will include product and content uploads, development and testing, newsletter creation, and general day-to-day admin. The E-commerce Intern will work with the founders and creative team to develop the e-commerce calendar and newsletter. Experience with Mailchimp and similar newsletter audits is a must. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage website navigation, content planning, and on-site search performance, constantly monitoring improvements. 

  • Working with the creative team and social media manager to develop the e-commerce calendar, driving both the content curation, development, and design of all digital assets (homepages, emails, editorial, digital ads/banners, videos, interactive animations) – this includes the management of all content and asset delivery. 


  • Become an expert on our experience, our product, our fabrics, and our customer
  • Identify opportunities to maximize sales and decrease returns. Opening conversations with customers on experience
  • Perform customer outreach and online surveys to keep a pulse on products, fit, sizing and general feedback
  • Assist with product and campaign launches across our global e-commerce channels
  • Ensure all pages on the site are updated and correct, performing regular site walks and testing to identify any issues
  • Perform regular checks of product information, ensuring correct and updated where necessary (prices, images, stock etc.), as well as assisting with merchandising
  • Assist with updating the trading/marketing calendar, ensuring we’re aligned with the marketing and communication teams
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficient with systems and reporting (Excel, Zedonk, Joor)

Garment Production Assistant Intern-  Los Angeles Based Only 

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Garment Production Assistant Intern familiar with working in the fashion and wholesale industry. We are looking for a self starter who will act as a liaison between HOA and  the production team. You will assist in the garment operations, as well as assist with wholesale and fabric production. You will learn about garment production from conception to completion, as well as hands-on experience bringing a garment through market season. Generally you will develop a strong familiarity with our collections and garments, working alongside the founders. We are looking for some who can come in 2-3 times a week. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with market preparation and execution 
  • General office duties: filing of approved swatches, lab dips, trim submits & samples
  • Track upc tags, care labels & disclaimer tags.
  • Keep accurate inventory of hangtags, packaging, fabrics and notions (prep for reordering)
  • Act as a liaison between HOA and the production team
  • Planning and organizing our sampling and production schedules 
  • Develop a strong familiarity with collections and garments, assisting with production and garment management.
  • When working in our studio, you will be responsible for fulfilling, organizing and packing e-commerce orders and pull request
  • keep designated area & binders organized of all approved packaging submitted from vendors

Requirements 

  • Sourcing of Fabric Samples
  • Experience in using a drawing tablet/fashion sketches 
  • maintains the fabric/trim library
  • updates line sheets as necessary
  • supports designers in putting together presentations 
  • creates mockups in photoshop and illustrator
  • assists the design team in trend research, colors, fabrics & trims
  • Experience with such skills: technical design, pattern making, fitting, sourcing
  • Interest in fashion production and management

  • strong computer skills desired with strong excel knowledge to help update spreadsheets

Operations Studio Intern - Los Angeles Based Only 

We are looking for a proactive and focused Operations intern with strong attention to detail and a love of the fashion industry. You will work closely with the founders in studio to help manage overall communication between the brand, vendors and scheduling. You will be primarily focused  on sample management, administration and media reporting

Communications Design Intern Remote

We are looking for a motivated Communications intern with a love of storytelling, creative writing and interest in fashion, history and art. You should have proficient  writing and communication and design skills as you will work closely with the founders to develop creative ways to convey the communication of the brand and ethos. You will work closely with the founders to help manage overall communication between the brand, vendors, public relations and social team. You will be primarily focused on brand decks, pitch/project proposals, administrative communication and influencer marketing outreach.

Graphic Design Intern- Los Angeles or New York Based 

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Graphic Designer that will work with the fashion and digital marketing team to help Ideate, develop and execute digital creative including; executing digital assets for digital marketing, social platforms (including creation of GIFs and illustrations as required). Support with designing and updating marketing, sales and promotional assets (brand decks, proposals, linesheets, lookbooks, flyers). As well as, work along fashion and design teams to develop illustrations and prints for textiles and products. We are looking for an artistic self starter that is knowledgeable about art/design history and can apply this knowledge to their concepts. We want someone interested in growing with the company past the internship and actively familiarizes themself with the brand art direction and ethos.

    Creative Content Intern- Los Angeles Based 

    A great and fun opportunity to work hands on with Aama’s creative and marketing team to develop, ideate and participate in compelling content. This role is focused on enhancing the House of Aama consumer experience through digital marketing, influencer marketing, consumer engagement and identifying growth opportunities across digital marketing and media channels. We are looking for someone with expertise in social media platforms, Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest and Twitter. You should be very familiar and knowledgeable about social media trends and culturally aware of the influencer landscape that contributes to making engaging content and connecting with talent while telling the story of our brand and the products we produce. In addition to social media, you will assist on creative projects such as editorials, events and special projects. We are looking for an individual with a great attitude who is looking to contribute to the growth of our brand through social media. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead amplification strategies, identifying new opportunities to drive growth and media value across our social media campaigns.
    • Understand and monitor social media metrics, research, and advise on new platforms that the brand could integrate to contribute to conversion and engagement.
    • Assist with the design and execution of social media, email campaigns and online promotions. 
    • Assist social media managers with creating weekly and monthly editorial calendars. 
    • Identify trends, influencers and content creators for gifting. 
    • Create compelling social media content in brand voice and aesthetic

    Requirements:

    Production Assistants - New York Based 

    House of Aama is looking for motivated and eager production assistants during fashion week and market season. Experience in either set design, event production, or fashion week is a must. You will work closely with designers and team to work hands on during show and preparation. You will ask as a communication liaison for our New York team and errands.
