Brand Marketing & Editorial Intern
Los Angeles Preferred | 5-10 Hours per Week
About House of Aama
House of Aama is a boutique luxury fashion house founded by mother-daughter duo Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka.
Through fashion, storytelling, and historical research, House of Aama creates collections that explore memory, folklore, and cultural traditions. Our work extends beyond the runway into editorial projects, film, exhibitions, and community programming, creating meaningful experiences that connect the past with contemporary culture.
About the Role
House of Aama is seeking a Brand Marketing & Editorial Intern to join our growing team.
Working directly alongside our founders and Creative Director, you will support social media, email marketing, content creation, collection launches, community events, and the many stories that shape House of Aama and Aama Studio.
This internship is designed for someone who is curious, proactive, and excited to contribute to the day-to-day communication of a boutique luxury fashion house. From collection launches and editorial planning to content production and community engagement, you will gain hands-on experience while supporting meaningful work across the brand.
This is not a traditional social media internship. We view marketing as an extension of our brand and are looking for someone who is excited to help communicate our work with intention, consistency, and care.
Working at House of Aama
As a boutique luxury fashion house, our team is intentionally small and highly collaborative. Every member of our team contributes across multiple areas of the business, and we value curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our founders and gain firsthand experience building an independent fashion house. Because of our size, you will have meaningful ownership, contribute to real projects, and gain exposure to many aspects of the business - from collection launches and marketing campaigns to events, partnerships, creative production, and Fashion Week preparation. No two weeks are exactly the same, and we are looking for someone who is just as excited to build as they are to learn.
